TOP TEN of spring break 2004.
10. the great eats all throughout break. from soober's mee-uk-gook, auntie's kalbi and kimbap, cheesesteaks, fried chicken wings, and honk kong king buffet (better known as kinky kong)
9. having to tear my tib apart to fit 3 girls and their luggage. DO NOT DOUBT THE TIB, COUSIN! actually, that goes out to all u haters and doubters out there. the tib got me there and back just fine, thank u very much.
8. finally seeing this "handsome" new pastor of sungsan. i was dying when my grandmother told me the new pastor was so handsome and that i should introduce myself to him. i must admit though, he is one good lookin fellow.
7. playing ball outdoors with the sungsan brothers at 7 in the morning. even snow flurries in march could not deter us!
6. in charlotte, after being kicked off one set of tennis courts, we drove around for a half an hour to find another one with lights at midnight. we eventually found one and team koviet (korea and vietnam) beat team china. 6-4, 7-6.
5. singing along to some nice praise cds as im flying down i-85! (shoutout to my favorite dj, sammy lee) wahoo!
4. dugsu's power boost.
as he's doing a crossover on the basketball court, we hear this fart. next thing we see is smooth flying across the court to make an easy layup. haha, he almost got wiplash!
3. seeing a man get beat up by his wife- no, not just yelled at. im talkin about getting slapped the heck up- at a virginia rest stop. i felt so bad for him
2. after losing 5 games straight to the team of benJAMIN', doug, and sammy.. dave, smooth and i came back to win 6 straight in the best of 11 series! that was awesome! -haha, actually we just kept saying best of 7 (after loss) best of 9 (after loss) ok, best of 11, but this last one counts for 6 games. AND WE WON!! u should have seen us after the game, we were going crazy. jumping up and down and hugging, it was great!
1. BEST THING ABOUT THE WHOLE TRIP FROM CHAPEL HILL, CHARLOTTE, AND PHILLY? it was free! haha, thanks to my aunties, uncles, friends, and my homegirl (aka halmunee)
honorable mentions: beating sammy in tennis 6-1. wut now, sucka. finally seeing Christian! (who the heck shaves their baby's head?
) prayer times were great! and sammy's definition of zone defense: fart in ur zone and no one will come near it.
man, its been way too long since i saw u monkies. i can honestly say, none of u guys changed in ur looks. except sammy and marko jaric. thanks for making my break a great one.
i admit i was too scared to play my 14 year old girl cousin, glo, in tennis. i mean cmon.. if i won, big whoop. i beat a 14 year old girl. but if i lost.. oh my. the risk was too great man!
