my bro is now gone, but im not sad at all. im just grateful we got a chance to see eachother for a week and have some fun

during the week, we got to do alot. i tried to teach him how to drive in the bible church parking lot- i felt sooo old. i was freaking out about every little mistake and repeating, take this seriously! then, i took him out on the road too early because i was bored of riding around in the parking lot. the day ended with me driving us back in complete silence. i think there was an unspoken agreement never to talk about that afternoon again.

we also made a trip up to king's dominion theme park in virginia. on the way there, there was a huuuuge accident and cars were jammed for miles on end. what was funny was that every once in a while u would see a car pull up on the shoulder and then see someone dash to the woods. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.. maybe next time u will think twice before downing that BIG GULP also, it should be noted that every pic taken of my brother and myself was done by the fattest guy i could find at the park. just wanted to make sure no one was going to run off with jon's camera on my watch!

we went to the beach as a church as well. that was amazing and we had so much fun. we had some great food (trademark of agape trips), got swept up by some HUUUUGE waves, played some games, had some laughs, and got majorly sun burnt. all in all, a great time.

dear friends, it has certainly been a while.

ECHO was an amazing blessing for all of us there. His presence was there in such an effect that i remember thanking the Lord every morning for such amazing grace for allowing me to join in on this.

while at ECHO, jon and i got to sport our numba 1 abuelo and papa hats, respectively. (for u non-spanish speakers: abuelo means grandfather and papa means papa) jon got the abuelo hat because he first found them. the line, "who's ur daddy?" never gets old, does it, buddy?

did u guys ever notice that u have the deepest conversations during long road trips? well, it took 12 hours to drive to ECHO so pastor gus, jon, and myself took turns driving. as we drove, we got to know each other alot better. some of the things, i cant share. sorry. one thing i can share is that jon and i both use to wear HUSKY jeans when we were in middle school. we were a pair of chubsters, its true! but the real funny thing is that jon thought HUSKY was a brand name. he told me that he would go out to his friends and say, "hey guys, check out these new HUSKY jeans i got. pretty cool, huh?" all the while modeling the jeans for his friends. HAHAHAHAHAHA, that boy just cracks me up!

the school year has finally begun. donald and i will be taking raquetball together this semester. neither of us have ever played before. please pray we dont hurt each other or embarrass ourselves too much.
